Mentors in Motion
What We Value…
Mentors In Motion creates and captures value by working with community and nonprofit leaders to improve the lives of children in the St. Louis region. By creating prevention programs for the youth and young adults to channel talents and energies into constructive, skill-building activities, also providing assessments in health and behavioral settings so that individuals will have an idea of their health/behavioral status.
How do We DO it?
Mentors In Motion works diligently to ensure our students are well-rounded and excel in various areas; Mentors In Motion offers a variety of programs that provide our students with different avenues to explore. Our programs range anywhere from health & behavioral assessment, to tutoring and mentoring, to cultivating creative lanes and spaces for students to express themselves while still learning.
Whether its through robotics or art, our mission is to carve out a different way for students to connect to the educational tools we must equip them with.
Mission Statement
Mentors in Motion is wholeheartedly committed to transforming the lives of young individuals in communities challenged by high crime, poverty, and underfunding. Our mission encompasses three core pillars: mentorship, tutoring, and early childhood development, working collectively to provide a solid foundation of support, guidance, and enrichment for children facing adversity. We strive to cultivate an environment that nurtures growth, fosters resilience, and unlocks the unique potential within each child, empowering them to rise above their circumstances and achieve personal and academic success. By uniting a dedicated network of mentors, tutors, and early childhood specialists, Mentors in Motion aims to break the cycle of poverty and crime, inspire lifelong learning, and contribute to building stronger, safer, and more equitable communities for generations to come.
what our people have to say about MIM
I believe “a mentor empowers a person to see a possible future, and believe it can be obtained.” Mentors In Motion is doing just that! I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the commitment and dedication the team has for our at risk youth. Our community needs you and I am excited to be involved in the positive change you are “putting in motion” in so many important lives.
Mentors in Motion is an extraordinary group of individuals under the leadership of Alandon D. Pitts dedicated to saving the lives of St. Louis youth through innovative and creative cutting edge methods. Their influence reach well inside the homes of the city youth and help them see the world through a lens that motivates them toward great achievement and success in life. I am so very happy to have found an organization that I can trust that when they reach out to a youth I serve, that youth will be positively impacted for life!
“I am committed to MIM because of their Vision and Dedication to the under served youth in the community. Working with MIM for the 2019 “Back to School Drive” helped over 150 children with their back to school needs was a great success along with helping needy families during Christmas was outstanding. I will always support MIM.
Mentors in Motion the Motivation to Move Mountains! Your team has an amazing ability to encourage and motivate students toward success! The energy, time, gifts and talents you share with our students open their eyes to a world of successful possibilities! Thank you for ALL YOU DO!
